Buriti Oil is cold-pressed extracted from the pulp of the buriti plant, Mauritia flexuosa, a member of the palm tree family. Unrefined buriti oil carries a characteristic orange-red color due to its natural high concentration of beta-carotene content. The aroma of this oil is that of earthy to woodsy. This oil is commonly found in tropical products intended to help protect the skin from sun-damage and has natural emollient properties.
