Babassu Oil is extracted from the kernels found within the fruit of the babassu tree. The oil undergoes a refining process resulting in a clean, soft-solid oil at room temperature with a whitish color; this process also removes the odor. This oil is highly resistant to rancidity due to its content of saturated fatty acids, primarily Lauric Acid.
